Everyone at Sylvester Primary Academy is celebrating after we received an overwhelmingly positive OFSTED inspection.
After securing a Good OFSTED rating in 2019, we have maintained our success following inspection last month.
OFSTED’s report concluded that pupils are “cared for at this welcoming school” which is judged to offer “a broad and balanced curriculum, with a number of extra-curricular clubs available to help develop pupils’ talents and interests.”
In turn, the school has been judged to have “high ambitions of pupils’ learning” with young people “achieving well across much of the curriculum.”
Principal, Ruth Harrison, commented:
“This Ofsted report is a fantastic recognition of the hard work and commitment of all of our school community. It is an excellent achievement for all of our children, staff and governors and I am extremely proud of everyone.”
Sylvester Primary is a part of the Wade Deacon Trust having academised in 2017.
Director of Primary Education at Wade Deacon Trust, Juliet Brown, commented:
"On behalf of the Wade Deacon Trust, we are delighted that Ofsted has recognised the progress the school has made since its last inspection and highlighted many of its achievements. Congratulations to all the pupils, staff, governors and the wider school community.”
